Ans.1(b), Justice Sanjiv Khanna has been appointed as the next Chief Justice of India. President Droupadi Murmu, after consultation with CJI, DY Chandrachud has appointed Justice Khanna as CJI with effect from 11th November.
Ans.2(d), The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with the Environment Ministry, hosted a brainstorming workshop titled “Forest Fire and Its Challenges” in New Delhi today. The event brought together state representatives, experts, policymakers, and practitioners in forest fire management to address the escalating challenges posed by forest fires in India.
Ans.3(a), Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have co-chair the 7th Intergovernmental Consultations in New Delhi today. Chancellor Scholz arrived in Delhi on a three-day visit to India. The IGC is a whole-of-government framework under which Ministers from both sides hold discussions in their respective areas of responsibility and report on the outcome of their deliberations to the Prime Minister and the Chancellor.
