Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a three-day visit to Brunei and Singapore this morning. Prime Minister has expressed confidence that his visit to Brunei and Singapore will further strengthen India’s partnership with the two countries and the larger ASEAN region. The Prime Minister said, today, he is embarking on a first-ever bilateral visit to Brunei Darussalam. He said, as India and Brunei celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations, he is looking forward to his meetings with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and other esteemed members of the Royal family.
Mr Modi will travel to Singapore tomorrow. He said, he is looking forward to the opportunity to meet President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
The Cabinet Committee on Security has approved the proposal for the procurement of 240 aero-engines for the Su-30 MKI aircraft of the Indian Air Force. The approval was granted under the Buy (Indian) category from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at a cost of over 26,000 crore rupees, inclusive of all taxes and duties.

The proposed new line between Indore and Manmad will provide direct connectivity and improve mobility, providing enhanced efficiency and service reliability for Indian Railways
An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG -29 fighter jet crashed near Barmer in Rajasthan last night. The IAF said, the fighter plane encountered a critical technical snag during a routine night training mission, forcing the pilot to eject. It added that the pilot was safe and no loss of life or property was reported.
Cabinet approves one more semiconductor unit under India Semiconductor Mission (ISM)
With the objective to develop a vibrant semiconductor ecosystem, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the proposal of Kaynes Semicon Pvt Ltd to setup a semiconductor unit in Sanand, Gujarat. The proposed unit will be setup with an investment of Rs 3,300 crore. The capacity of this unit will be 60 Lakh chips per day.
SC constitutes committee headed by former HC judge Justice Nawab Singh former
The Supreme Court today constituted a committee headed by former Punjab and Haryana High Court judge Justice Nawab Singh to amicably resolve the grievances of protesting farmers at the Shambhu border. A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan directed the committee to hold its first meeting within a week.

The State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest lender, is aiming for a complete shift with regard to loans to the SME sector of up to Rs 5 crore, from collateral-based assessment to cash flow-based loans backed by credit guarantees to improve access to funds, according to its chairman C S Setty.

The Press Information Bureau – PIB’s Fact Check Unit has denied the rumors about an alleged notice issued by LIC that it is going to withdraw all insurance products and plans for revision by the end of this month. The counterfeit notice claimed that the revision will bring a change in premium, and policy terms and conditions. The Fact Check Unit said that the claim is fake and no such notice has been issued by the Insurance agency.
